Cosmetic acupuncture + holistic microneedling

At Kindred Medicine, we believe radiant skin begins from within. Our holistic facial treatments support both visible results and deep constitutional wellness, leaving you feeling grounded, vibrant, and truly at home in your body.

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic acupuncture is a gentle yet deeply effective way to enhance your skin’s natural vitality without the use of injectables or harsh procedures. These treatments stimulate collagen, smooth lines, improve circulation, and restore tone and glow.

At Kindred Medicine, we don’t treat just the face. Each session includes body acupuncture to address the internal imbalances that contribute to skin issues like dryness, puffiness, breakouts, or premature aging. We focus on hormonal health, digestion, fluid metabolism, and nervous system regulation.

Your 75–90 minute sessions may include:

  • Facial acupuncture

  • Body acupuncture

  • LED red light therapy

  • Facial gua sha and/or cupping

  • Nourishing herbal mask and serums

  • Grounding nervous system support

The 45-minute session includes facial + body acupuncture and LED therapy only.

Pricing Options:

  • Initial Session (90 min) – $170

Microneedling + Traditional Acupuncture

Collagen induction therapy meets internal healing

Microneedling stimulates collagen and elastin by creating microchannels in the skin, which trigger your body’s natural repair response. At Kindred Medicine, we elevate this treatment with full-body acupuncture to address the why behind your skin concerns, treating hormonal imbalances, poor circulation, or chronic inflammation.

Microneedling is suitable for concerns like:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Acne scars and breakouts

  • Pigmentation, sun damage and skin discoloration

  • Enlarged pores and texture

  • Dull or sagging skin, loss of skin texture

  • Hair loss

  • Stretch marks

Included In Every Session:

  • TWIST by Dermaroller microneedling

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sessions will I need?

For cosmetic acupuncture, we recommend a course of 10 sessions done weekly or biweekly to see sustained results. After that, seasonal or monthly maintenance keeps the results strong.

Microneedling is typically done in a series of 3–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by occasional touch-ups as needed.

What’s the difference between cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling?

Cosmetic acupuncture uses ultra-fine needles to stimulate collagen, lift and tone, and improve circulation—while also addressing internal imbalances through body points. It’s ideal for overall skin rejuvenation and internal regulation.

Microneedling creates precise micro-injuries to trigger the skin’s natural repair process and increase product absorption. It’s more targeted for scarring, deep lines, and pigmentation. We always pair it with full-body acupuncture to support deeper healing.

Do cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling hurt?

Not at all! Cosmetic acupuncture is relaxing—most people fall asleep. For microneedling, you may feel light pricking or warmth, but the TWIST by Dermaroller is designed for comfort. If needed, we can apply a gentle numbing serum beforehand.

Can I do both treatments?

Yes! Many clients alternate cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling as part of their skincare plan. We’ll guide you on the best rhythm based on your skin goals and constitution.

Is there any downtime?

  • Cosmetic acupuncture: None. You can go about your day with no restrictions.

  • Microneedling: You may have some redness or sensitivity for 24–48 hours, similar to a mild sunburn. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to support quick healing.

Is this covered by insurance?

If your plan includes acupuncture coverage, a portion of both cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling sessions may be eligible. Check with your provider, and we’re happy to provide a detailed receipt.
